Hello everyone, I just got an email from my parents letting me know that they'd gotten me a new Hamilton as a birthday present. They found it on Ebay, and I'm trying to figure out if it's a real one or if they just got taken. The item number comes up as correct, H74511333 but it says they're not available in the US. There is a second number listed, H001.74.511.333.01. The seller told them it is authentic, but when I enter the second H number it keeps redirecting me to replica watch sites. What can I look for to ensure that this is a real Hamilton and not a fake? Thanks!
Hi everyone - I am brand new to this forum and I find the info and opinions on this board very useful. Anyways just wanted to share my new purchase - the Montblanc timewalker. I know the MB's get mixed reviews on this forum but it is without a doubt a fine time piece. I love it and plan on looking for another MB piece, possibly the Summit. What do you guys think of the Time Walker?
Let me fill you in on my thought process of the big 3 battle (3570, 3572, 3573):I've read all the debates and after viewing hesalite vs sapphire today, understand all sides now which makes it even more difficult.I can definitely see what the allure of the hesalite is and it's not just for moon watch purists. The dome and the the light cast from it are beautiful. BUT, I was surprised how close the sapphire was. Not completely night and day IMO. Also, the sapphire back was not as much of a deal breaker as I thought it would be. The movement is beautiful, but with the bracelet on, the field of view of it is not that great. (looks so much cooler on the internet ;) So my final answer is... The 3572.50, because it is discontinued and very desirable for good reason--it's simply the best imo. Second would be a new hesalite 3570 and third would be a new sapphire sandwich. If I bought a used speedy with unknown service should I immediately service it? (on a 3572 it would be at least 9 ye
I'm pretty sure I'm going to add an Explorer 214270 to my collection and looking to get peoples thoughts. I love the watch, but I go back and forth as to which version of the reference I want. (The earlier one seems to go for a little less $ pre-owned). I have no plans on selling the watch anytime soon, nor do I view it as an investment, but I'm curious if you guys think the non lume version may one day be sought as a rarer collectable piece? or will it be like some of the transitional references that don't really see a premium?I know I don't have a bad choice here, just curious others thoughts on the matter. Thanks!
