There is essentially a very small middle class - people are either rich or poor. Also, since a major part of the economy rests on tourism, and tourism is down, the businesses are hurting.Anyway, on to the watch discussion. The exclusive contract to sell Rolex in Jamaica is held by one company: Swiss Stores. The company was founded in 1935, and has stores in Kingston (Capital City), Montego Bay, and Ocho Rios. During my trip, I was able to visit the store in Ocho Rios. I was pleasantly surprised about prices. However, I was fairly disappointed about selection - not a Day-Date in sight. They did have a YG Yachtmaster II, assorted GMT's, and a number of Datejusts.I took the example of my long-standing white elephant: the 16613 Blue Dial TT Submariner. AP on custom strap?
Hey guys... what are your thoughts on putting a custom made hornback strap on my RO calendar? I would like to keep my AP and order the strap and conversion kit from APbands.Would this cheapen my watch because the strap is not an authentic AP strap?Thanks for thoughts

SMP Blue Wave?
My first luxury watch was an SMP wave blue chronometer.I see now they updated with coaxial but thats about it (no new bracelet)?Are they discontinuing this model soon, is that why they aren't updating the wave dial?I like ceramic but the wave dial is so gorgeous, am i alone here?
