There's no doubt that automatic winding units revolutionized the wristwatch. Several inventions, subsequent improvements, and even specific movements have had a vast influence on the industry. Take a look at the Valjoux 7750 series as a recent example - to say it's ubiquitous is an understatement! Regardless of how many watches are powered by a 7750, it didn't make the list because it didn't break new ground. I don't remember a recent thread on watch thickness so how thick is too thick?Since I tend to wear 40-43mm watches, over 15 is where is starts to get to thick for me.With my vintages, all around 33-36mm, under 9mm seems to be the magic #.So let us know, how thick is too thick for a watch for you.

Incoming - Custom Ceramic Daytona
Last August, I purchased a black face ceramic Daytona from an AD after a year wait. Beautiful watch but to me could be better. I contacted Les Artisans de Geneve to customize it, with a 6263 hand made face, vintage polishing, and new vintage hands. The goal was to keep as much as modern as possible with a vintage flavor. I understand many of you may have your own views of customizing an already fine time piece. The result though to me is stunning and I wanted to share it with the community.
