Electric"Prototype?"
Ok, I guess since this is a "Hamilton" site I should put up a Hamilton too...This watch was purchased in NYC at the famous Aaron Faber gallery. It is a prototype for the electric (circa 1957.) It has the words "pat pending" on the dial and a beautiful red tip on the second handin box...enjoy the pix.

Help with dating and identifying this Vulcain Cricket
I recently bought a Vulcain cricket.Few things that are atypical about this watch. One, it does not say 'Cricket' on the dial. Two, I opened the caseback and the movement has no Vulcain marking anywhere.The movement is very clean, the alarm is **** loud, louder than the JLC memovoxes I got. So I am hoping this is an original Vulcain. This is the first time I came across something like this, I am confused and intrigued.Any help identifying the year and answering the mysterious absence of the lettering on the watch? Could this be a prototype that was not meant to be sold?Peace ...

Help me learn about finding my birth year Sub
Hey TRF,After much hemming and hawing I have decided to save and plan for a birth year SS Sub, preferably no date (I��ll settle for date if I have to). So I��m late December 1984. I guess an ��85 would be fine too right? What I want to know is: where should I look for one, and what sort of price point should I be expecting? Anything else I should know? Is this technically vintage? Is it still 5513 or did those stop in the early 80s?Thanks!
