I was flattered by this article on DeepGlamour.net. The article mentioned me a few times and included a few quotes. Randall at DeepGlamour.net had an idea to comment on the effect that watches have on people and their image aside from style. I chose this image of Alexander the Great to sum up his sentiments on what certain watches are all about. The theme was discussing the concepts of "Status, Power, and Conquest" in relation to watches. You can read the article here, and I think you'll appreciate the gist of what he has to say. A Zenith and 2 WW1 era Wristwatches ......
Now that I have your attention .....hee hee ....these are 3 ladies watches .......Got a pile o' watches back from my watch guy .......here's 3 , the first is a very nice cocktail watch, it's a 17 jewel Zodiac, ....( get all those Z watches mixed up .....sorry) .......it's white gold filled and runs very well .......Thes next two are the large sizes that women wore in the very early 20th century,as you can see by the quarters I put next to them ....Ladies watches didn't get this big again until about the 1970s I think .....I love these 2 ....they may not make it out of my personal collection .....and the movement fills the entire inside of the watch that one, I love the cut design around the edges....this one I like the angles and the ribbone bracelet....it's hard to find those old bracelets in wearable condition .....and the movement ...........maybe one of your wives might like a vintage watch like these last two.....they are easy to find , and much easier to repair,......can you ima

my first breitling, almost sorry I bought it
Bought my first breitling Got a used Super Ocean and I realy like it. Problem is one of my favorite brands is Omega and I was going to buy another but now after the Breitling I'm not so sure. Anyways I live in Connecticut so I'm going to bring it to the service center to have it cleaned.

Speedy Saturday Hamiltons 9/4/10
What I will take tomorrow for some driving, a driver's watch:I wished that I would also own one of these old beauties from Horch, Wanderer and Audi. The background is the Horch/Audi museum in Zwickau (Germany). A dream for every fan of vintage cars. It's an amazing museum where they have rebuild complete scenes with streets and shops where the cars are "parked" infront of them. The illusion would be complete if the visitors would also wear vintage clothes.

Condensation inside crystal of speedy
I was wearing this speedy recently outside for a short time in the rain,the watch did'nt get wet,but when I went inside the inside of the crystal had condensation on it,it went away after 30mins or so. This watch is circa 1993. What does this watch need done to prevent this happening?Thanks Tom
