Glashutte XL 95-01-31-24-05 wrist watches news:
La LunaThe M.A.D Gallery in Geneva while existing as the place to go to see the latest pieces from MB&F, is also a place where you can find unique "mechanical art" exhibitions. There is perhaps none more unique than the exhibition by clock-maker, Miki Eleta that was held to coincide with the week of SIHH.Arriving at the M.A.D Gallery, I was confronted by a gallery space that had been transformed yet again, and this time into some kind of magical clock wonderland. Large clocks and clock-like sculptures were to be found at every corner, and the first impression of the pieces was of an overwhelming complexity arranged in a kind of organic beauty.Die SiebenThe first piece that caught my eye was the large, almost eye height kinetic sculpture that stood near the entrance. Named "Die Sieben," it looks like a gigantic bee hive made out of sprawling wires. When the sculpture is put in motion, a mechanism brings ball bearings up from the middle and lets them go from the top, running into gui
One of the most notoriously difficult to find German watch brands is Damasko. They tend to make cool, high-function tool watches for a fair price. If you are a fan of Sinn, you'll also like Damasko - and it goes without saying that Damasko's designs are highly inspired by Sinn timepieces (which are also less than ironically hard to find). If I could give some advice to Sinn and Damasko it would be to understand that pieces such as this would do much better in America if anyone in the US could ever find them. Let's talk distribution people! Sometimes I don't understand how these businesses operate without basic notions of doing business outside of Europe. But I digress!New for Damasko is a model called the DA44 which will come in both a 42mm wide bead-blasted steel case and a black-coated steel case. This is when it starts to get interesting. The steel they use is one of those very hard materials that they claim is ice-hardened and nickel-free. It goes through a range of hardening techni
Recently, I have not been wearing any of my Rolexes when traveling. Fear of theft is first. Having to pack it away and lock my carry on when passing through TSA is another. My invicta sub homage seems well suited for this task. I am happy with the peace of mind I have now achieved. Besides, there is now another reason to be happy about returning home.30 years ago someone targeted me with my submariner when traveling abroad. I stopped traveling with it for a while, then resumed a year or so later. Now things seem to have come full circle. Whether it is the economy, society, who knows. For some reason I don't want to be a Rolex target while traveling. I have become more protective of them.Anyone else feel the same?
This Bulova Watch belonged to my friend Janet's dad.....a rose gold watch with white letters.....there are quite a lot of them out there.......what there isn't out there a bunch ......is a watch band like this .......from the outside, looks like other bands ......but when you turn it inside out .....( try that with any other watchband but a Spiedel or wanna be......) and then stretch it out ....ooooooooooand you can angle it because of those wonderful joints .....and I love the neatly folded over tabs where the tops are attached......such an intricate and beautifully made band ......isn;t that just the coolest ? .....made by Foster .....a company that I am not familiar with .....and is most probably the band that either came with the watch or was bought for it immediatly ......NE one else ever seen one of these ?
Does anyone knows why a quartz watch like this is so expensive (more than 3,550 US$ is the cheapest I found on-line)? By the way, I had already asked this as a part of a different conversation in a thread which is in the general forum but I think there the question is too hidden to be seen, I don't know whether I am supposed to edit my original post in the general forum.GLF
