Angular Momentum Urushi Red & Black Japanese Lacquer Watch Collection
Angular Momentum's newest timepiece collection is based on something very Japanese. Maybe Seiko or Citizen will be pissed? Angular Momentum's Urushi watch collection uses just that, the ancient natural Japanese lacquer. Urushi actually comes from a tree and is likely a specialized sap from a tree native to Japan, sometimes called the Varnish or Lacquer tree. For centuries, it seems that the compound has been used for various purposes, and still used today for decorative purposes. Angular Momentum has taken Urushi and created a series of watch that embody various manners of Japanese symbolism on them. The sap dries to be very hard (like plastic), and is very smooth. The sap itself is not black and red naturally when it dries as you see on the watches. Instead it is colored with iron or ferric oxide often for the black and red colors you see. 18K Wings Question
Here are a couple of pictures, sorry they are so big:I have had the watch for several years. I love the watch but have not worn it in a while. I need to replace the band and my AD no longer carries Breitling. The strap is extra long. First, any suggestion on where to go to order a replacement strap?Any idea what this watch is worth today?THANKS!!!!

Straps for Vintage Hamiltons
Hello!I'm relatively new to your group....Several years ago, I became aware that my great grandfather must have been something of a WIS. Sharing the trait, my mom has given me all of his collection...which includes several Hamilton/Elgin/Waltham pocket watches and surprisingly for the late 20s/early 30s quite a few wrist watches. They both run pretty well (although a service is definitely in order). I particularly would like to wear a couple of the Hamilton wrist models: A white gold Coronado A yellow-gold StanleyI think both would look good on a relatively plain black leather strap...but was wondering what the folks on here would recommend? Is there a great source for NOS Hamilton straps?Thanks,John in San Antonio
