- I was looking for something for a friend of mine. This I knew she didn't have. I was really suprised at the weight of this little watch. It seems to be very well made. Well worth the price!!

- This watch is perfect for anyone who loves the ceramic watches but hate the huge face on most. It is sturdy and well designed. The watch is fully functional and does not have faux dials that are there for look but not function.

Breitling AB014012/BA52 wrist watches news:
Hi, I'm new here obviously and have recently dug out 2 old watches with the thought of having them restored to their former luster and back in working wearable order. I have taken them to a watchmaker who quoted me $350.00 for the Hamilton and $400.00 for the Illinois. From what I have gathered reading on this forum that is pretty standard for a restoration. He says he would replace the crystal in the Hamilton and he needs to make a new stem for the Illinois. My question to you is , is it worth the money for these time pieces? I just don't know. They have sentimental value to me and I love the vintage look of both of them. I appreciate your feedback and any insight as to the models or years these watches were made. The Illinois could be 1920's and the Hamilton 1940's??I'm attaching a photo. Hopefully the first time is a charm!Thanksimage.jpg

I love PPs. They are stunning and gorgeous. I really have an itch one. i can afford a 5167a now, but have to save for the 5167r (it could be several years). Given my collection (SS Daytona, SS milgauss GV and breitling SuperOcean on a rubber strap), what should I do?? I won't trade any of my current watches to raise $$. Back in December I was debating whether to go with an SD43 or a 116613LB ¡®Bluesy¡¯. I created a poll thread then for the two and TRF voted SD43. Then as luck would have it my co-worker who was on the list for one changed his mind and went with a James Cameron DSSD that became available at the time so I took his spot for the SD43. Got the call two days ago and went in to pick it up this morning!
Hello everyone,First time poster... after dealing with me for 14 years and having 4 of my children I¡¯ve decided I want to treat my wife to a nice watch. This is something she would never consider buying for herself or expect it but I know she will be thrilled and she deserves it. I¡¯ve narrowed it down to a 36mm steel Datejust with a white Roman dial or the 36 Datejust with fluted bezel and diamond dial. I live in Chicago have have visited 2 ADs, one offered me no discount (I didn¡¯t push as I didn¡¯t like the salesperson) and the other offering 10-11%.I know I can get a better deal on here or grey dealer but I want this to be ¡°new¡± so she could exchange if she wants to and she can go to the AD for fitting, sizing, extended warranty, cleaning, buffing, etc... what type of discount should I expect for these models? Im paying cash and both agreed to ship to my business out of state to save on taxes. Thanks in advance for the info!
