Breitling IB011012/c790-3rd wrist watches news:
Mr. Claret, I will take five! That ought to do just fineHere is another super high-end, experimental, and unique exotic luxury watch designed to stimulate the masses and end up on the wrists of just a few. It is true that including variations on the word "extreme" as part of the name of something quickly went out of style a few years ago (do you recall when everything was "eXtreme?!"), in this case I will give Christophe Claret a pass because he turned the name into a acronym of sorts. "XTREM" stands for "Experimental Time Research Engineering Mechanism." Wait, doesn't that pretty much everything CC releases these days?Extreme or pristine, the X-TREM-1 watch is both visually interesting and technically fascinatingand it uses magnets! Not impressed? I actually am because magnets are the traditional enemy of mechanical watches. Nothing like magnetism to totally screw up the operation of precisely moving parts. Ever wonder why "anti-magnetic" watches are a big deal? In the X-TREM-1 magnet
Are you you prepared for some shots of the newest addition to Lime's collection?Need to edit some pics, had to log on to see site size limits, give me a few minutes. . . . . .OK, I'm back - The Miyota 8205 on displayThis thing is ORANGEFirst impression is that its rough, the workmanship seems like is was shipped to me without being through the last 2 finishing operations? I mean I'm a toolmaker and I'm positive I can achieve the finishes shown here, doesn't seem like jewelery? ain't had a chance to evaluate the lumination, but heck - it's something different and it's freak'in orange, the rubber strap seems chunky. . . . .guess my heart is into the more elegant classical simple style?with that said - I like it - it's got a rough unfinished feel about it. And the price was cheap around $140 shipped.
Just picked this up on Saturday I have been wanting to get another Panerai with in house movement and YES a date complication, not traditional but I really needed it for my day to day routine.I have had it on since picking it up and I never thought I would get a 47mm case model but it just sang to me when I tried it on and I could not shake it from my head. I am very happy I got this and look forward to wearing it for a long time.Paneristi for life.
I don't have either. In fact, I don't own a Rolex yet. If I'm considering both, which would you acquire first? Thanks!
Hello, First off, thanks for a terrific forum. I have been a reader for years and feel like I have received a free education from the countless members who have shared their stories, expertise, and passion the brand. After years of dating the wrong watches I finally decided to settle down with the brand that I have always admired. I just got the call on the new SD 43 and before I pull off the stickers off I wanted to get some opinions on size. I have a 6.75 wrist and am about 6' tall. Big but lean, I guess? I wanted an everyday piece that would suit my lifestyle - lots of travel, snorkeling, swimming, paddle-boarding, and generally active stuff. I am not quite onboard with a sub or SD4K yet and so it came down to the SD43 or BLNR. (I know, very different beasts but those are the two that spoke to me) This would be an everyday piece and I spend most of my days in jeans or shorts and seldom wear a suit. So could you weigh in once more for the new guy? At first blush it feels a bit chu
