Important Watches
My first post..hello all. I recently had the 1530 passed down to me and I am giddy about it. I was shocked when I discovered how rare it is. So..it doesn't fit me and being as rare as it is I have come to the conclusion that it will be extremely difficult to find a link or two. So I have two questions. What direction should I go about locating some links?Does my 96660 bracelet have interchangeable links with the 17000 bracelet? Thanks in advance for the help.
After the "favorite complication" and "day complication" threads, I'd like to go the opposite direction.Anybody know of a good, affordable automatic or hand-wind with no date, just hours, minutes and seconds? I know the obvious answer is vintage, but I'm wondering about new.I would be in hog heaven if EL made one! I'll most likely be picking up either a La Rosa or a Blue Lagoon (possibly both) in the near future, because I don't want another auto or hand wound with a date. I have 3 Orbita winders by the bed, and two autos that aren't on winders - guess which ones get worn most? I just can't justify spending more on winders than I did on the two autos!
An interesting article written by John Reardon, International head of watches at Christie's, and one of the foremost experts on Patek Philippe watches.
I brought this watch about 10 years ago. The only thing I change was the crystal and aftermarket pearl. I just started to wear it. Can someone tell me-Which model this is ?What does it look like on the dial? To me it looks like the hands are flaking off. The specs does move.Is this an aftermarket bezel or just too new for the watchI don't plan on selling it. Just want to get the correct parts replaced before they get too expensive. .Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
