Looks like a Red/Blue Ceramic Bezel could possibly be made for the GMT-IIC.James Dowling(MrRolex) spoke with the owner of watch company MB&F "It is a special limited edition of his Machine Number 2 designed by Alain Silberstein. What really interested me was the red band around the periphery of the watch, it is made from a new material called 'Hy Ceramic' which is a stable red ceramic material. If you can cast your mind back a couple of years when the first steel GMT Master C watches hit the market & almost simultaneously I visited the Rolex factories in Geneva. Whilst there I asked their head of R&D if there were any plans to introduce a version of the watch with a red/blue ceramic bezel, I was told that this was unlikely due to the problems of making red ceramic. This opinion was confirmed by other watch makers, including Jaquet Droz who make many of their watches with ceramic dials. So, now that there is a stable red ceramic, I wonder when (and if) Rolex might make use of
I am a member on several different Watch forums and I always visit the sales corner of every one of them.Just came up with the idea to get my Dad a nice pre-loved Aqua Terra, still figuring out what size and color...But I noticed that there aren't (m)any for sale out there, in fact I can't even remember when I ever saw one out there..Any thoughts on this..?
Finally decided to pull the trigger, right in time for Christmas. I was going to wait until next month to see what was being released in SIHH, guess I¡¯m a compulsive buyer after all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
