- Got this for my husband for Father's Day, and he just loves it. Came in a fancy leather box that can be used for dresser top jewelry. The leather band is comfortable, and the overall look of the watch is very classy, but casual.

Breitling AB0111 wrist watches news:
There are a few brands out there whose every release excites us. Whether it's due to infrequency (thus making every release a big deal) or sheer style, we always look forward to their releases. Defakto is one such brand for… well, both reasons actually. They release one maybe two watches a year, and though they tend to be subtly different than the last, are always a delight to view. Recently, they released their "modular" series (one of which I am wearing while writing this, and I can say without a doubt it's their best to date… but more on that in a few weeks) and just today they announced another new line, the Struktur.Following up their first quartz watch, the Detail, the Strukur utilizes the same 40mm x 6.6mm thin case, but introduces something totally new to the Defakto catalog; 3-hands. Yes, to this point, Defakto, who made a name for themselves with one-handed watches, had yet to produce a 3-hander. The Struktur does so in an elegant manner, keeping true to the moder
The Watch Gods helped me fill another Longines vacancy - this time for the caliber 285 slot.I guess I'm forced to admit that I'm running on all 8 cylinders again. The bevelled edge of the bezel is so sharp you might be able to slice tomatoes on it.
I picked up this 1954 Elgin Windsor a couple of days ago. Cosmetically, it is in nice shape after just a quick cleaning, but I noticed the hour and minute hands didn¡¯t line up properly. When I went to set the time, the hour hand would skip from 6 to 7. Turned out some teeth were stripped, but luckily I had a replacement gear from a spare movement. The movement is the Elgin branded 645 Swiss movement. It has 17 jewels. The case is 6808 and is 10k gold filled. It came with a really nice Hadley expansion band.Even though one might think that with the 17 jewel, Swiss movement, this would be a more low end watch, in the catalogue, retail was pegged at $100, which at the time, put it in a more upscale category. As you can see from the ad, the Windsor was put into the "If price is no object category". Interesting considering the 17 jewel movement, and 10K gold filled case. Styling perhaps? Its detailed dial? Kind of interesting segmentation by Elgin here, I think...Here's the gear th
This one goes with this time of the year nicely..............
I'm in the process of buying my first Rolex. It will be a used DateJust of SubMariner. I think I have found the one I want but I just want to hear from veteran buyers. What are the important questions to ask before putting down my money. I have never paid thousands of dollars to buy a used product sight unseen from someone halfway across the world. I will probably be using escrow offered by Chrono24. While I can return it, I would much rather ask the right questions first.
