Breitling AB0110 wrist watches news:
You may have seen what seems to be quite a reasonable GE award Savitar II being auctioned online....Reasonable - until one looks at the images of the case back. Good grief! What on earth would cause this type of damage? Or could it be a result of a dodgy casting?
Hey everyone , I've seen a few vintage omega constellations in in the watch talk and was hoping to snag one. I found this on ebay, MENS OMEGA CONSTELLATION SS PIE PAN HEART INDEX Cal.561 on eBay.ca (item 180614946018 end time 27-Jan-11 13:34:45 EST) , and wondered what everyone thought. What's it worth, is it collectible. I really know nothing about vintage watches or ebay for that matter so any advise will do.Thanks in advance Eric...
Hello, this is my first thread on WTF so I thought it would be a good idea to show off this trench watch I just ordered! It is a swiss movement that hopefully is running as the seller told meno seconds hand and the dial is a little junky but it was for the most part complete so why not?also, .925 silver case! I can never resist a silver case.IMG_0013.jpgIMG_0014.jpgIMG_0017.jpgI thought the diameter was a little bigger than normal so that's interestingwhat do you think?Description from seller:caseback was signed "925" silverworkingdiameter: 36.25mm with crownsecond hand was missing.
I was speaking with a group of WIS friends and we all agreed that AP is not in the top 3 watch brands anymore. The fact they need to constantly try to attach endorsements of celebrities to each special edition, the fact that they need to call their watches like the grand prix special edition when it is nearly 10% of their annual production, and the fact they need to reduce prices indicates that the brand is no longer one of the great brand names. They have become desperate to sell a watch and it is only getting worse. They are not in the same league of Vacheron or Patek. For example, it is hard to find any Patek watches when you visit dealers and they have twice the annual production. Vacheron has sold out their annual production at the first few days of the SIHH show the past couple of years. AP is nowhere in their league of Patek or Vacheron. Although they have complicated watches any brand can hire an independent watch brand to make a grand complication or a tourbillion. AP under
Okay. It's been five years since I bought a watch. For me this is a big deal.I'm toying and torn between an Explorer 1 and a blue Milgauss. On the one hand we have understatement on the other we have blue, green and orange. I like both. It'll be a daily wearer, it'll get a bit wet and I won't fret if there's a scratch or two ... stuff happens.Views and reviews from long-term owners of either welcome. Let the enablement begin.PS: other watches of note in the box are a Mark XV pilot from IWC and a PAM372, although this latter may be the sacrifice to sanity and economics.
