Breitling A1736402/BA28BKOR wrist watches news:
I discovered this forum yesterday when I tried to determine some history for an Omega Automatic watch that my mother gave me. It was her second husbands watch. I did as much research as I could online. Thank you to the members of this forum for your input. I ran accross a Omega Automatic watch which was very close to my watch, as far as serial numbers, etc. The serial number to my movement is 10817664. The serial number to a watch that i found online is 10814725. Both cases are Wadsworth and the serial numbers of the cases are very close too.I can not find anything on either of these two movements that looks like a reference number. Both movements are identical except for the serial number, and they are very close in their serial numbers. The other watch is identified as having a Caliber 28,10 RA movement. Can I safely assume that my watch has the same movement because they are identical in appearance and so close in serial numbers? Apparently the Caliber 28,10 RA movement i
I'm trying to find out what the case material is for this watch:The inside case back looks like this:Can't tell if it's base metal or white gold-filled. Has an 3/0 Elgin 464 grade 15 jewel movement from 1927:Any help is appreciated. ThanksMark S.
Well, I'm goign to get one of my favorite, cheap watches fixed. I bought a Nautica Diver at a discount place in NYC a few years back. It's stone reliable, keeps good time and has never let me down. Looks similar to anything else styles to resemble a Rolex, and wears well, despite being on the small side, case-wise (for me, small is 40mm).About a year after getting it home, I didn't swing wide enough one day and managed to nick the watch on a door knob. At first I thought there was zero damage. A few days later I noted that the small glass/plastic marker at 12 o'clock was gone. Upon closer examination, this one item was the fatality in the watch-meets-door-knob fiasco. :(Hasn't stopped me wearing the watch, but I think maybe it's time to replace that tidbit. So, I'm looking for a good watch shop locally.Givewn I live in Kirkland, WA, my choice of locations would be, in order of preference:1 - Kirkland2 - Bellevue3 - Redmond4 - SeattleWhile not far, I don't often get across the lake
Hello folks,I have decided on the Cartier Santos 100 as my dress watch. Problem is in my state contains only two stores thta sell the watch and is too far to see it in person so often. I tried the Santos 100 XL but did not try on the "Large" modelPlease any wrist shots of the Santos 100 Large model or even a "medium model" would be HUGELY appreciated.ThanksF.
I'm thinking of buying an older Breitling chrono from the 1950's. No sure which model yet, my question is servicing these watches......any problem with getting them serviced or getting parts? Any thoughts pro or con would be appreciated.Lance
