New Member and the watches with some questions
I just got my account active to post after lurking for a bit. I bought my first Omega this past December, a 2220.80. Then the bug hit and the next was a PO 2900.50.91 in March that would go with my army military needs. In April I caved on a Great White, new old stock, 2538.20 that I deemed I needed for a work watch when flying for my airline on the civilian side (a self conscious determination that I really needed it). I had been waiting to buy Omega for some time then jumped in head deep.My first question is about my great white. Does anyone know if it possible to put an authentic display back on the watch and is there anyone in the PA area that could do this. I just want to stare at the movement.Pictures some time soon...but not much different of what has already been posted.

Damasko DC66 On DB10 Custom Ammo Strap
Damaskos are never the easiest watches to shoe. The white stitched strap that accompanies the watch from new is not to my taste. Damasko as a company stubbornly refuse to issue a bracelet for their watches despite repeated outcry from their loyal followers, myself included. What is the MSRP in Japan for a hesalite Speedmaster Professional 311.30.42.30.01.005 on a metal bracelet?I flew through Narita a few weeks ago and I believe they quoted 519,000 yen. They were offering a ten percent discount at the time. Does this price include VAT or is this a duty free price?At the current exchange rates this is a decent saving off of the MSRP in the US. Not as good as the gray market, but it would be purchasing from an AD.Thanks!

Hello everyone,This is my first post and I hope that I am posting in the correct thread. If not please let me know and I will repost in the correct one.I have recently come across a Rolex Quartz, model 5100, NO. 252 in 18k yellow gold. It is in great shape with some dents and wear but it is minor. It also has the origanal box and service papers from servicing in 1982.I am just wondering how to figure out it's value and also if I decide to part ways with it the best avenue to go about selling it. I have just checked out Chrono24 and I'm aware their pricing is a bit out to lunch but there are several available foe $25K to $140K!!! Is this correct?I have attached pictures and appreciate any advice.Thanks,
