The Holy Grail of Dennison Trench Watch Cases??
Hey folks,I'm an avid trench watch collector specifically of Dennison cased walthams (being from the UK this should come as no surprise) and I believe I've recently acquired something extraordinaryily special, but I wanted to run it passed you guys before I get too excited over nothing.If my knowledge is correct Dennison cased trench watches dating from 1913 are pretty rare, but I believe I have a dennison trench watch case dating to 1912!! It has a double hinged back and hinged front bezel that I've never seen before on a sterling silver dennison trench case before. It also seems to have the factory gold crown! As you can see the hallmark 'n' assayed in Birmingham dates the case to 1912. Anyway enough of me rambling, take a look for yourselves and let me know what you think. Speedy Moonphase Revisited
So since I had a day to kill I took 150 mile round trip drive to the nearest Omega dealer to actually see this piece on my wrist as others have said it definitely wears smaller than 44.25MM and I got to see the black on a bracelet and the Blue on leather. Both are quite stunning in the flesh I might have went for the blue on a bracelet but I have this tremendous bias towards black watches anyway after trying it on and seeing it in the flesh I pulled the trigger on a black/bracelet should have it by Friday! Traded my SMP I just like the Tudor HBB too much to let it go.

Issue with 176...
I bought a used K series 176 a few years ago. I had it serviced in 2015. Now it won't fully wind. After about 30 or so turns of the crown it slips, I can hear it, and keeps winding, never topping out. I took it back to the AD and they said something about the barrel, which makes sense, and it will cost $100 + to fix.Is this to be expected after only a couple of years? The bbl had been replaced at the service. And it's not even close to a daily wearer. I like it and want to keep it, but I hope it doesn't become a service headache. Besides, I have nice strap collection.

Is this a model that was ever produced by Rolex, or is it a combination of different parts?Price seems attractive ($4.6K for head only). Do you think it's worth it, or should I look for a more standard version?Also, I am not too concerned about authenticity since the guy is local and I have dealt with him before, but being a head-only (no box, papers or bracelet) offer, I don't mind your opinions on authenticity as well (he could be 100% honest but got fooled by someone else, for example).Thanks a bunch for your help!
