Hey guys ! ! ! ! !Me and Tiffany drove through the night and got home in 17 hours, 7 minutes.Long drive but not too bad when two people are sharing the work.PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES ! ! ! ! ! ! !This is just some of what I scored at the show, WAY too much to take pictures of everything right now. Many of these watches deserve their own threads and they will get them in due time. The full moon from our balcony. The building and the show. The "world famous backpack"Pretty cool random license plate ! ! !1928 - 1929 Hamilton Oval, 17 jewels, sn 2295378, 987 movement, 14k gold filled. As I am not a Hamilton guy any info that you guys can offer on this one would be great!Everything look correct ? ? ?This is THE MOST historically important watch that I have ever seen ! ! ! !1918 Elgin Black "Star Dial" Trench Watch ! ! ! ! !One of the VERY FEW that has survived that was in FACT bought by the United States Army in 1918.100% all original (except for the crystal), you can still see the original b
This thread might be a little more oriented to the flippers, but the keepers could easily play along to. Take a look at your current line-up and think about if one or two were never made. What would you own instead? I just saw Budabear's SWI chrono in Sunday's WRUW thread:
BEFORE:AFTER:I decided to see how the "free" alligator strap looked. What do you think?
I am a owner of a few great AP pieces.Rubberclad stainless H series. However this morning I was setting the time, and I noticed when screwing the crown back in, the hands would follow the winding crowns rotations. The hands will only stop rotating when the winding crown is fully screws in.Upon unscrewing the winding crown, the hands follow this anti clockwise motion too.Besides the described issue, the watch will not run, there is no resistance, if I try to wind the watch, so the gears and cogs feel smooth.Other observations.I cannot set the date, and the fine click noise when you pull the crown out is absent. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue.I wifi definitely take in to APSC LondonAllanSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I enjoyed a long visit with Lisa Lammert, salesperson with Treiber & Straub, a PP AD in Brookfield, WI. She had just received a BNIB 5167-A Aquanaut. I found the watch to be a perfect fit with a low profile and very light weight! The rotor does, indeed, make itself known when spinning but I could get accustomed to it. All in all, an awesome watch that I hope to add to my collection some day.....
