Ulysse Nardin CEO Rolf Schnyder Passes On
Ulysse Nardin has announced that its CEO, Rolf W. Schnyder, unexpectedly passed away on April 14 after a short illness. Because a succession plan was already in place, current members of management will continue to operate the company without interruption, continuing in the spirit of Rolf W. Schnyder¡¯s vision. ¡°With the passing of Rolf W. Schnyder, the watchmaking industry has lost one of its greatest visionaries, while Ulysse Nardin has lost an important source of innovation for the firm. We guys know (generalizing here) about last minute present. Yesterday I was walking around trying to find a gift for my wife. My phone suddenly rang and I was engaged into a about 8 minute conversation and somehow wandered as I was still on the phone into a AD.
