Romain Jerome Batman-DNA Watch Debut
For the 75th Anniversary of Batman, Swiss Romain Jerome has partnered with DC Comics to produce the Batman-DNA collection of limited edition watches. There is one version of the watch, and it is limited to just 75 pieces, with a Batman logo on the dial and case shaped with angles on the bezel to remind of the Batmobile. It might appear as though there are two versions, but it is just a "light and darkness shot" of the watch with and without the luminant glowing. This is the first watch relationship between Romain Jerome and DC Comics, but the concept is by no means a surprise, given Romain Jerome's history of making limited edition watches in honor of pop culture icons.Romain Jerome and Batman fans will love the new limited edition watch, but it won't win any converts who are more interested in traditional horological fare. No, that's not Italian. I am wondering if a Watch Enthusiast who has many watches can have a single watch style that best suits his personality? When people think of you, do they have an impression that best suits a type of watch? Which watch best suits your personality or lifestyle? And if there is such a watch for you, how do you feel when you wear something totally different? For example, if you think of yourself as a Rolex sub sort of guy, can you wear a G Shock? And maybe you like all sorts of watches and don't mind wearing the G Shock; but when you do wear something really different, does it make you feel different? Do people react to you differently when you wear different watches? If you are used to wearing an $8,000 watch or more, how do you feel when you wear a Timex and people notice it?These are all different ways of asking if you believe in a 'signature watch.'

806 AOPA Navitimer Help
Hey I hope all is well. I had a question for you guys. I just bought this navi 806. It had a dial and hand change in the 60s I have the original dial but not sure it I can be paired. I'm thinking of ordering this chrono hand and slide rule. Does anyone know, 1. How hard will it be to have a watchmaker do the install? 2. Does this hand and sliderule match this reference? I believe the original dial is early 60s and the current dial is late 60s. I haven't seen this chrono hand on another 806 nor the red sliderule. Thanks!Here's the original dial.
