Hi all....I brought out my Orbita Quattro 4 watch winder I purchased in 2000.I can't find the instructions to see how the dip switches should be set re revolutions per day (for my Rolex and Omegas!)Could I trouble someone to let me know the dip switch settings? Or perhaps copy the instructions for me?I would be most grateful! Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!Best regards,Alan
Plush - Swatch Group to cut supplies to third partiesBeen lurking here and FOOF for a while as I have plans to buy an Oris TT3. It would be my first mechanical watch and one I intend to keep for a really long time. However, this article linked above gives me some concerns on purchasing any watch (whether Oris or not), which has an ETA movement. Can some of the more knowledgeable folks share some of your thoughts on this?
Hey All:I have been recently looking at some new watches and one that was high on my list was Doxa. One of my concerns was the movements used, and a rumour that they were putting an end to their dealer network.I don't like to buy direct, I like to support an AD.Well, they ended their ad network, and when I asked about the movements, I waited about a week to learn in email that it is an Elabore ETA 2824 in the 1000T Series.I asked how the movement is upgraded, and I was told through regulation. Huh???Below is my actual note from Doxa...nice looking watches, but apprently not a company to interested in what's under the hood. Sinn, here I come.Reading the note again, if that doesn't sound like a fashion watch, I don't know what does.Dear Scott,Elabore is not basic, especially if it is regulated over this period of time. We among all other Swiss brands regret the massive price increase but, unfortunately the days, where $2400.00 were a lot of money for a Mechanical Swiss watch are gone, t
