Breitling A13370 wrist watches news:
A couple weeks ago my 1966 Omega stopwatch just, stopped. I was about to photograph the movement in action when it died. I dropped it off at my local AD and they sent it to L.A. Today, a few minutes ago in fact, I got a telephone call from the gent who was looking after it for me. L.A. cannot fix it because of its age and as result needs to be sent to Bienne for an overhaul. While I am not excited about the monetary results of this, I know the work will be top-notch. And this is what I am concentrating on. I will report back in a couple weeks with the cost to resuscitate this relic.-Bond
As some of you might remember I had a warranty issue with my PO LE.Somehow water managed to get inside at only a couple of metres depth.Anyway off it went to Omega at the end of september to be fixed.Got it back about a week ago, I haven't seen it yet as I'm abroad working but the wife picked it up for me and said they have included a little gift to apologise for the delay. She said the watch looks great and the gift is a really nice Omega pen in its own beautiful box.I've searched and searched but can't find a picture of one anywhere and its driving me nuts. I'm not home for at least another 3 weeks.
I've been looking for a nice, retro-inspired modern dress watch for a few months now. The two models that have caught my eye are the Tissot Visodate and the Seiko SARB027/031. I actually like the looks of the Seiko better and have always been happy with the other Seikos in my collection (mostly divers). However, I was really disappointed to learn that the Seiko SARB027/031 has been discontinued. This is such a beautiful watch. Did Seiko replace this model with something comparable? Any leads as to where I might be able to find one of these? I think they've been discontinued for only a few months...maybe a few left with grey market dealers?
I've been torn between 4 watches. Coincidentally, 2 are rolex models and 2 are omega models. :P (Rolex Sub and GMT Master) and these 2 from omega:.prestigetime/item.php?item_id=2272 and .prestigetime/item.php?item_id=818I equally love the looks on both watches. I love the GMT function on the Seamaster, but then there's something about having a manual wind watch that interests me. Any other differences between the two that I should know about? :DAnother question is, when it comes to Omegas, is older usually better? Like what's the difference between a Seamaster/Speedy from the 70s and 80s compared to the new ones? Thanks!
