Breitling Two-Tone wrist watches news:
In 1885, Ferrari won its first hornor at the Universal Exhibition in Antwerp. Further success followed in Brussels, in 1897, Paris in 1889, 1900 and 1925, Milan, in 1906, Genoa, in 1914, Bern, in 1914, Philadelphia, in 1926 and Barcelona, in 1929. Ferrari' record of 10 Grand Prix and 28 Medaillles d Or has never been equalled by any other watch manufacturer.
Took a ride today with Windy to a watchmaker who's retiring soon. Most of the things were mediocre or redials, but I picked up a Constellation I pictured in the Omega forum for a steal. I saw an interesting diamond Mystery Dial LeCoultre in 14K white gold, a cool Patek Philippe I posted in the Patek Forum, and a few others. Here's a few I know a handful of us here will appreciate:I have a full box of Bulova so I passed, and check out the complications on this Wittnauer:If it was a little bit higher end brand I would have considered it. Honestly, for the $750 he was asking it was worth it seeing as they can sell for upwards of $1100. Now, I may wake up in the middle of the night and realize I MUST ACQUIRE IT but I can go back next week.
Hello everybody. Thank you in advance for all your input on this. I am a fairly new collector (7 watches, 4 invictas) that really loves the Invicta product. I know posting that on a general form will incite a mixed bag of reviews. Having said that those are my favorite watches for the price range that I purchase in it right now. While I do love my invictas and plan on buying more I am also looking to branch out to other brands. I have seen many of the popular brands like Sturhling, deep blue, android, Diesel and police. I very much like a nontraditional watch that is large and bulky. I am 6'2" tall and 245 pounds. Smaller watches look too dainty on me. Can anybody give me any brands or even specific watch models that are larger and somewhat different looking? The standard vanilla watch is not quite my style. Thanks again everybody!
So I have another piece coming in. Should be here tomorrow or Monday. This is a piece that I really did not understand the price premium but one day it just hit me. Now I get why it is so special. Again the devil is in the details as with all finer things in life.It is a 15XXX. Heart is pounding.
I am torn between the new two tone Datejust 41 (yellow gold steel, champagne face, fluted bezel, jubilee) and the new GMT 2 ceramic yellow gold steel two tone. On workdays, I usually wear a quartz Tag Heuer Formula 1 with black face on steel bracelet as my beater, and I already have a non-ceramic date steel Sub. I am concerned the GMT 2 may be too repetitive in appearance to my Tag and my Sub. On the flip side, I worry the Datejust would be too flashy for casual wear.Any advice? The new Rolex would be worn mainly on weekends for nice events, meetings and dinners, etc, ranging from country club casual (polo shirt, chinos, no jeans) to suit and tie. I’m in my late 40’s.Thanks in advance for your input!
