SIHH 2013 Preview: Ralph Lauren Sporting World Time
The 2013 Salon International de Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), in which many luxury watch brands introduce their new models for the year, doesn¡¯t take place until late January, but one of those brands, Ralph Lauren, has offered us a preview of one of those new watches, called the Sporting World Time.The latest addition to Ralph Lauren¡¯s Sporting collection, the World Time watch has a rotating disk engraved with the names of 24 world cities, each representing one of the world¡¯s major time zones. The disk works with the second time-zone subdial at 6 o¡¯clock (which also has a day-night indicator) to indicate the time in another zone.The dial, which has a varnished, deep blue finish, also includes a date subdial at 2 o¡¯clock and a semicircular power-reserve indicator at 10 o¡¯clock. Other hallmarks of Ralph Lauren¡¯s Sporting collection on the dial include the white transferred Roman numerals and white, transferred railroad-style minute track. Versace fans gladly welcome the new Versace Gallery watches demonstrating an appealing Art Deco style. The curved case is rendered in polished, 18k red-gold. It has been created in three sizes - 19mm, 22mm and 26mm. The bezel and central hour ring on the dial are paved with full-cut diamonds. The brown dial is also decorated with a stamped guilloche pattern. The outer part of the dial is embellished with the signature "exploding" Arabic numerals also crafted in 18k gold. To guarantee supreme readability, the faceted hands are Superluminova-coated.

Hey everyone, the time has come where i'm going to take the plunge and purchase another watch, and I would like your help picking between my two finalists. I can get either watch roughly for the same price. Due to the prevalence of Ulackfocus's sweet blue dial Muhle Glashutte on the daily wrist check threads, I've been inspired to add a blue dial watch into my collection. In a feeble attempt to see more of blue dials I ask all of you to show them off. Lets see them!!
