Rolex pricing question
I am in the market for my first Rolex (and new to the forum) and need to get a few opinions to let me know if this is a "good deal". This is what a buck buys you at a yard sale.
I've been very luck at yard sales lately (I buy and sell antiques, as well as watches), and today wasn't any different. I went to one sale today that I saw was going on locally on craigslist that looked like it could be a good one. Well, I got there, and there was tons of good stuff! I asked the man if I could make a pile, and he said sure! There was no prices on anything, so you had to ask for the prices, or make offers, etc. Well, I was there for about ten minutes and I was going through a very shallow box, and I saw what looked to be a watch on a really tacky 1960's/70's leather cuff bracelet. I pick it up, read the dial, asked how much it was, and put it with all of my stuff! He wanted $1 for it, so $1 I gave him, paid for my stuff, and left. It was a 1960's Omega Seamaster with a steel case in fairly good condition, and running to boot! I just took some dirty pictures of it after I took it off of that terrible strap. Hey guys, I was wondering what the EOL indicator does on the aerospace watch. Does it beep or flash? Just curious as I can't find anything on the internet. Thanks :)

Hey all,Was killing time this afternoon, and stuck my head round the door of an AD close to where I study - when boredom strikes, what better excuse to take a nose at some watches Taking pride of place in an otherwise slightly underwhelming Omega display (mainly Seamaster 300s and Constellations) was the latest Speedmaster L.E., featuring the meteorite dial. (Read more here) At a whopping ¡ê5000 (over double the list price of the standard Speedmaster Pro) it's certainly a serious price. My thoughts? There's just not enough wow factor, not enough to differentiate it from the standard Speedmaster Pro. The dial (especially on the black meteorite sections) is underwhelming, and it certainly lacks the beauty of the Rolex meteorite dials. Yes, it might be limited to 1975 pieces worldwide, but I think you'd have to either be:a) A serious space enthusiastb) A serious Speedmaster enthusiastc) Slightly loonyto take one of the L.E. models over the standard. Is Pre-Owned Rolex Import/Export In/Out of the US still banned?
looking at a decent rolex on ebay hailing from brazil.aware that in the past Rolexes arriving into the US by (air)mail have been destroyed pursuant to rolex exercising its IP rights on US soil, etcis this still the case today or no?thx in advance for any input!
