Finally got my LV back from service...
Sent my LV off to Rik at Time Care Inc for a full service (been 5 years), and he did an amazing job. To replace the Bezel insert though I had to send it off to Rolex RSC (chose Dallas), because LV inserts are "only" replaced by Rolex...sooooo...about 8 weeks later it has returned to me I'm so happy that its back and VERY satified with the job that Rik did. On another note, I found RSC Dallas to be a true and absolute pleasure to deal with. Im glad that all the negative issues ive read from other Rolex owners with RSC never came to light.

Just Arrived: Lord Elgin Clubman
Technically, I already have a Clubman, but it has a custom Schlitz dial and a 680 movement. The heart of the Clubman is of course the waffle dial.Unfortunately, they often go for crazy prices or the waffle dials look like they have gone to war. Finally the other day, a seller had listed two of them ending a few minutes apart. The first one went for over a hundred, while this one received little attention.One thing I've never understood on eBay, is that many sellers send you filthy watches (wouldn't a clean watch get you more $$?). Of course, this was no exception. There was crud in every crevice on both the band and the case. I cleaned and polished both the case and band and they shined up nicely. Additionally, the crystal was scratched across its entire surface. A little polywatch, a Dremel, and elbow grease polished it up nicely. The movement is Elgin's 21 jewel, 556. Thanks for the advice (new watch alert)
Paid a visit to ben bridge timeworks today. Picked up my first, and hopefully not my last patek. Brand new 5167 with bracelet. Took lots of pics to document the event. I took the advice of many forum members and skipped over the bell and ross for my next piece. I still want one, but maybe as a christmas present. Forgive the crummy pics, ill post more pics when it gets some wrist time. And finally, on the wrist at home...but still has the plastic on it.

Contemplating my first flip...
So last year I bought my first Rolex, a Sub LVc. I love it, its an awesome watch and I love the green. I am sort of a bigger guy (wrists are 7.25) and usually like a slightly larger watch. Been thinking about the DSSD D-Blue, worried they may discontinue it and I love the dial and blue is a color I love. Will I regret flipping my first Rolex? I'd just save to buy another, but Im also saving for a house downpayment so its hard to justify a second Rolex in a year, considering that goal, but them discontinuing it has me thinking it may be now or never.
