Winding question
I've had my SD for a couple of days and the accuracy meets COSC specs.but when I wind it there are two different deeper clicking sounds after five winds or so.I'm assuming it's the preventive over winding clutch, but it seems strange that it does that after only a few winds.Hopefully it's just that because of constant wear the spring stays fully wound.Can someone please enlighten me since this is my first Rolex and I'm unexperienced with the behavior of their movts..Thanks in advance!

I dunno', maybe it's just me, and I don't know what, or if there are, the rules regarding the Buy/Sell forum. Also, I'd be real surprised if this hasn't been brought up before.I guess my question is regards to people who join WTF only to post in that forum. Has there ever been any consideration about requirements to post there, such as a minimum period of membership, or a minimum number of posts?While I'm completely hip to the concept of "caveat emptor", it would seem to me that such requirements would benefit the sellers, as well, as potential buyers would be more at ease spending, certainly with some recent listings, some rather significant amounts of money.I'm just rambling and, like I said, this has probably been discussed before. But "membership", to me, is just that; you join and participate.Thoughts?

Patek 5196 has all the DNA of the original 96
I acquired the 5196R by chance in some ways 2 weeks ago, at the same time as my 5164R.I have seen numerous posts on the 5196 vs Lange 1815, Saxonia, VC Patrimony, I do not intend to repeat those forum topics already addressed but I would just like to simply add that this piece really has a vintage aspect to it. The others have a much more modern feel to them (even the 5296 etc are very modern in their presentation).If you prefer a vintage looking piece but a current line up, you may want to consider the 5196. The curved, silver-brushed linen dial, the golden minute dot indexes, the baton hour indexes, the dauphine hands really stand out in natural daylight and is absolutely a direct descend of the 96 in its DNA. You have to see it in person to appreciate these details. And it is so comfortable to wear and surprisingly easy to match for a daily watch. Biggest Rolex Store in US Has No Sports Models
So, I walk into the massive Rolex boutique in NYC this afternoon, the one that’s in the same building that houses the U.S. Rolex headquarters .... and not one steel sports model was available, and only a couple of yellow gold models. No Subs of any sort, no Deep Seas, GMTs, no Explorers or IIs, and of course no Daytonas or the new SD. Nothing. Just hundreds of other models, such as DJs, DDs, and women’s watches. Sales rep told me they won’t get any more until after Christmas. Not sure if that’s BS or not, but it seems insane that the stock at the biggest store/dealer in the U.S., which I believe is run by Wempe, doesn’t have any basic sports models heading into the holiday buying season. I knew this was going on in Europe, but I assumed you could still get a steel Sub, for example, with relative ease at a dealer. I assume it’s like this elsewhere across the U.S. Go figure.
