My current wish/shopping list
I thought I'd post up what my current wish/shopping list is. This isn't a dream list, this is what I hope to realistically acquire over the next few years. Of course things may change as I see watches that need to be added to the list or replace ones that are already on it.This is in a rough order or acquisition.Appologies in advance if I have snaffled anyone's pictures. I usually save pics that I like for a screen saver and wallpaper and don't keep a track of where I got them from. Let me know and I can change the pics.I like this one. It is nice and simple, clean and elegant for a chrono. I like the leather strap on it. Yes, it is quartz and not auto, but it makes it more affordable and will ease my wife into this watch thing. This one would be a daily wear, work style watch.I love the yellow. I need (yes, need!! ) a diver that I actually feel comfortable wearing to the beach and the pool. Project Watch Club - The Hamilton Brent
You may have seen my recent post about a watch I refinished for my boss (Hamilton Paige). As mentioned in that post, it was a lot of fun to see a neglected and non-working watch turn into something special. Also noted in that post was another project watch completed at the same time - a Hamilton Brent-B (1952).It is no secret, I am a Hamilton guy. I like the modern Hamiltons and have my share. My interest in the vintage Hamiltons is growing. I am trying to pace myself and find a particular interest, not just "old Hamilton" watches. Triton strap/bracelet changs - how???
Picked up a Triton with both factory stainless bracelet and factory mustard strap. Strap is on, and I love it, but if I decide to change it, how is it accomplished? I don't want to just attack it with Allen wrenches. Is any thread lock used? How much torque? Any tricks or tips? Same questions about sizing. Thanks!

Considering first AP, looking for help and guidance
hi TRF, Just joined and this is my first post about wanting to buy a watch. I currently have a Subc, breitling superocean x-plus, and a Tag Grand Carrera. I have recently been seriously considering buying an AP watch which i can finally afford and was looking for some input. I am mostly looking to buy either a volcano or a bumble bee, and looking to buy either in mint condition. I was recently in the diamond district in NYC with my watch guy and he said didnt have any used bumble bees but it was probably going to be around $21,500 but he had a volcano in mint condition 6 months old with box and papers he could give me for 15,500. Any input on price or buying a used AP would be appreciated or should i just spend the money and get the bumble bee. Alex
