Panerai PAM305 Luminor Submersible 1950 Dive Watch Is Surprise Hit
Panerai's new P9000 automatic movement line was the star for the watchmaker at SIHH this year. The entry level in-house made movement is meant to be a friendly rugged machine with function and reliability in mind. This is particularly seen in the watches that the new movement line showed up in. My favorite of which is this PAM00305 (PAM305), also known at the Luminor Submersible 1950. In addition to being Panerai's first exhibition back diving watch it also has a face without a number 12. This is the first time I have seen this on a Panerai watch, though I am admittedly not a Panerai superfan like some people out there. You have to give this watch a double-take to make sure it is in fact a Panerai, because that "12" always in the same font, is just SO Panerai. Custom Explorer?
How hard would it be to purchase an Explorer with a white dial (like on the Explorer II) and a brushed bezel as opposed to polished?Would Rolex warranty this? Any clue how much extra you'd have to pay for this kind of modification?Been admiring the Explorer...but would like to have one as I described.

Novelty question from an AP rookie
I always figured I would add a royal oak to my collection at some point, but I was all set that my next watch would be the Glashutte chronograph. Then I saw the new AP grey dial (novelty). I've been wanting a nice gray dial for a while, and I can see me loving this watch forever. I searched this forum and couldn't find too much general info on AP novelties. I assume these will be produced in limited number? How many years are they generally in production? Can I expect a big price jump?Big thanks to everyone that can provide some knowledge

Traveling with ROC - bracelet woes
I'm wrapping up an awesome spring break in Arizona and for the first time traveling took my ROC on its bracelet. At home, I've found it great for everyday wear but during my travels, I have run into wrist swelling problems. And of course with no micro-adjusting clasp, there were times I just couldn't wear it. I don't know all of the physiology, but am guessing the frequent changes in altitude and hydration make your wrist change in size frequently.I don't really want to bring a watch kit (screwdrivers, extra links, etc) when I travel. So in the future, I'm wondering if this is a time to put it on a strap or go with another watch altogether. The low WR rating is also a reason it may not be an ideal single travel watch. I love my ROC, but it doesn't do me any good in its travel box. I know there are a lot of frequent travelers on TRF so was wondering what others do in this situation.
