Bell & Ross Bell & Ross 52878 wrist watches news:
Hi everyone,My dad has an old Omega Seamaster sitting in his closet that he says he hasn't worn in over 10 years. I've never been much of a watch person but I figured I could put it to use Can somebody help me identify which model it is? It's not terribly old. From what I've read about the the serial numbers, it was probably made in 94 (so I think that predates the bond series models, right?). It has a blue face, says "Seamaster" in script. "Professional" in caps below that and then "300m/1000 ft" below that - All white text. I've seen some with Seamaster written in red but that's not the case with this one. I'd upload a picture to help but I can't seem to find the camera cable. The battery appears to be dead but that's about all that's wrong with it. I've read that the waterproofing gaskets or whatever needs to be replaced every so often. I doubt that my dad would have ever taken it to get serviced so is that something that I would have to do? How much would getting all this done cost?
Hello I was blessed enough to be able to purchase one of these fine rare (130) made in the 19j movement. Has the factory (979-F) movement. Not sure bt I was thinking of keeping it. But then again Im sure theres a collector our there that would love to have it. My watch guys been around watches for 40 years and has never seen one. What do yawl think it would bring? It runs good. Will try to add a photo if it will allow me to. All feedback would be awesome. In my 2006 Watch book it says 2k-4k and again that is 5 years ago. Markets soft on everything. Figure its rare enough to fetch some money on e-bay. thought on starting it at $.99 and let her run. For some reason it wont allow me to add photos.
Got the pocket watch with no crystal. I'm a real novice to this fascinating hobby so am a tad unsure about the measurements even with the micrometer. Does anyone have any info on what the original crystal was like? Domed or flat, thickness, size, etc would sure help. I assume the original crystal was glass as it was made in 1912 according to the Elgin Ser no. Recommendations of a good source would help too. Thanks!
the Ananta Spring Drive GMT. This is all Frank's fault. Thanks Frank. He told me what a great watch it is, where to get one, he paid for it, lol I wish. Very impressive. Don't let the 46 mm diameter fool you, it's only because the case flares out on the bottom. Really fits like a 42 or 43 mm.
