Panerai FER 00009 wrist watches news:
Collecting vintage watches isn’t for the faint-hearted. There are many, many things that can go wrong if one doesn’t know what to look out for – wrong movements, crowns, hands, franken-watches – the list goes on. In the spirit of what we published a few weeks ago, today we want to share some tips on one step of the vintage watch due diligence process: how to spot (and avoid) a restored dial.As many collectors will tell you, the dial is the most valuable part of any vintage watch. In most cases, a pristine dial with minimal patina, zero scratches, and no blemishes can fetch significantly higher prices than dials with some degree of wear, with the exception of some specific instances where patina might be preferred (e.g. tropical-dial Rolex submariners). 1 OF 17 Two pink gold 6062s, both alike in dignity ¨C but not in price. (Images via Antiquorum, Philips) Why This Matters In most collectors' minds, what’s worse than a non-prist
Just curious if my Blue AT (Omega cal 3301) has overwind protection or not...
Sometimes when i move my hand I can hear a noise like a winding noise, is that the rotor spinning? is it normal?
Personally, I do like the one with a matte dial. Like an Explorer black or an Everose gold Yacht Master. What do you guys prefer ? Thanks
So I¡¯ve seen early 2000¡¯s 116234 models with the red/black date wheel. Odd-Even days. Anyway I really like that feature but in looking at the current models of 116234 I can¡¯t get confirmation that it¡¯s available and what dials might it be available in.
