Omega 232.30.42.21.01.003 wrist watches news:
When it comes to ways of displaying the date on a watch, I consider myself a bit of a traditionalist in that I prefer the use of discs to read out the date, rather than a hand moving around a dial. Using a magnifier to help read the date is a decent way to go, but I have found myself liking the trend of "big date" displays, generally relying on two discs to compose the date displayed. There are more than a few models that offer this, but one of the more intriguing ¨C in terms of looks and design ¨C was just recently announced: the Zeitwinkel 273¡ã Saphir Fum¨¦.At first glance, you might be tempted to think of this as "just another" skeletonized watch ¨C and one that, perhaps, is not as artfully done as others. There is a kernel of truth there: while the German silver plates are decorated, they are not kinetically exciting ¨C however, to stop there is to sell the Zeitwinkel 273¡ã Saphir Fum¨¦ short. The unique bit here is, of course, that smoked sapphire crystal that comprises the dial. Now, I h
I have a decision this weekend. I have budget for one of the three above. There are 3 of these available at AD. They are reserving until this weekend for me. I need some advice before I decide.I have a 5056P so far. Three of them look gorgeous to me so I have a real headache right now. Basically which is the most worthwhile buy among the three models.
Hey guys, Currently I am not a huge watch collector, I own a few watches but no real big names. I am looking for a watch that looks like the rolex submariner, The one I found that I liked for the price was the invicta 8926OB. The only problem I see with it is that I want to get a watch a little bigger. Most of my watches are 40mm so I want to try something a little different. Does anyone know of a good sub type watch that is around 43-45mm without crown? something that looks like the original? I have checked out other invicta models, but they are like very extreme. Either Huge, or if its not huge they add some crap I don't like , such as MOP etc. Any advice or info would be appreciated. I am not looking to spend a fortune because for the price of like 80 something dollars that invicta model looks like a good buy. If I could get something a little bigger without having to pay 100's more would be great. Best Regards.
After seeing beautiful pictures of the PO 8500 Ti I made a few phone calls to ADs today and found out that nobody has them yet, at least in the SF Bay Area. I haven't tried on a 45.5mm watch (biggest one I have is 42mm) so I went to an AD to see for myself. I love the size! I tried on this PO 8500 SS. Now I'm kinda torn between the two. The blue of the Ti version is simply stunning, at least in the pictures I've seen. On the other hand, the SS version is gorgeous too. For those who have seen both in person, which one do you like more and do you think the Ti version is worth the $2600 premium over the SS?
Patek lovers, I have always wondered what the big deal is with this model, they are always priced high, and for a major luxury watch not that fancy looking either, so what is the big hype?
