This one is for the fans of the show Heroes. I recently discovered that the Sylar watch that lent its name to the Sylar character was a modified Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical. So one of the coolest villians to come around in a generation wears a Hamilton, even though the producers changed the name on the dial.

Below is a photo of my first Illinois'. I usual only collect Hamiltons and Benrus'. But after reading this forum for several months and seeing the beautiful watches and wealth of historical informaiton on Illinois watches, I decided to take the plunge.Don't know much about this watch. From what I can find in Shugarts, it seems like a generic Barrel Engraved from about 1929?ThanksMark

Rubber b strap for BLNR
Ok, so after seeing some pics a few days ago of the BLNR on the rubber b strap with the blue line, decided I NEED one.Been wearing my Tudor Pelagos on rubber lately and feels good to me, so placed an order for the rubber b.Rubber B is now here.What do you guys use to change the braclets/straps? Was thinking of getting the bergeon tool, but want to make sure I get the right model.In the mean time do you think the AD would change it for me??Thanks in advance for any input..

New watch as gift - warranty card not in your name = issue?
Short version. I have the opportunity to buy a new SD43 from an AD. They are saving it for VIPs only. One of my friends is a VIP at that AD. The AD is insisting that he purchase the watch with his credit card and gift it to me. In turn, they are also insisting that the warranty card be written up in his name.Something about having a new high end watch with papers in someone else's name is grating on my nerves. Am I being too picky here?
