Longines L36584766 wrist watches news:
I think I'll wear and drive my two clunkers today, how about you?
Happy 4th to all who celebrate. Included in our freedoms here in the US is the freedom to wear any watch we want. . . and today, I am donning a Hamilton.
Last night my wife asked me how many watches I currently have. After sorting through 57 functioning & 12 in need of repair, plus a box full of "junk" or simply unappealing watches I didn't bother to count, I started to wonderhow many watches do most of you out there have? And what ratio of mechanical, automatic and electronic are you all collecting? For me, it is 38 autos, 7 mechanicals and 12 quartzplus 11 autos & 1 mechanical waiting for repair. Needless to say, I rounded down a bit when I answered my wife's question!...somehow she still seemed to think I may need help. Cliff

For those of you in the northwest US (Seattle area) here's a college actually teaching watch repair. One of the guys on the vintage Gruen site just signed up for the course.Norwest School of HorologyFor me this is far more worthwhile than some of the courses (ie Interpreting the Art of Eastern Kazakhstan) offered at colleges today
