The biggest new feature of the SIHH this year was, of course, the area set aside for presentations by nine independent watchmakers, known as the Carré des Horlogers. Based on word-of-mouth from participants, it seems to have been in general a success, allowing what many independent brands, journalists, and clients have had to do in a very chaotic way in previous years – meeting to see new products and designs in venues offsite – to take place under one roof. Of course, non-Richemont brands have always been a part of the SIHH (Parmigiani Fleurier, Audemars Piguet, and Richard Mille are all examples), but this is the first time such a large number of small-batch makers have participated. Of these, one of the most high touch and low volume is Kari Voutilainen, whose fame among connoisseurs is out of proportion to the very small volume of watches he produces. Hello,, I've posted in the general forum as I'm asking for info on a selection of watches one of which is this model- the Breitling Montbrillant 38mm case 18k gold.europastar/europastar...eitling205.jpgI want to get it in the mid-size (38mm)How does this model in the smaller size compare to the other larger Breitlings and is the movement and all just as desirable? any one have experience with this or similar models?Thanks you

AP ROO Navy 26470
Hi all,First thread in the AP Forum. Quick intro. All my watches have been Rolex (+ some pre-WIS purchases unworthy of mention), but about a year ago I started to get drawn into AP. The journey began with the fascination of the RO Jumbo, 15300, 15400, and recently the ROO Navy. Haven't seen a lot of mentions here like the Safari and Elephant. Is there love for Navy? Here's a shot of what I tried on last week (sorry crappy pic). I'd never thought a ROO could even be an option due to its 42mm size on my smallish wrist (~6.75) but I got bit hard. Just felt amazing on the wrist. The navy dial is simply mesmerizing with the orange highlights and details. Wow. The rubber strap, I think, is what makes this ROO feels like a perfect fit on a smaller wrist (or any wrist) Very curious about your expert input or insights here about this reference. Thanks for looking
