Well back in Espana after 4 weeks away and 2 FANTASTIC weeks in USA.Really Thanks to everyone that met/talked and looked after me.After 4 weeks LOTS of packages, ranging from antique watch makers tools to this LOVELY American watch from 1935.WALTHAM~~21 Jewel RIVERSIDE~Rolled Gold cushion case with fixed lugsOriginal Enamel dial~c.1935~Now lOOk at THIS movement:21 Jewel with brass chatons, bright steel winding gears, cut bi-mettalic compensated balance and precision regulator (fast/retard mechanism) (really its magnificent)Movement and Case match 100%and Adj 2 temp, NOT bad for $350Only in America!! What size strap?
I don't have a metric measuring device, so I can't just walk in the next room and see for myself So, does anybody know what size strap is needed for a Classic Date? I'm thinking of ordering a leather strap from one of the site sponsors. Ok, I could have just checked the Oris website and found that they list the "interhorn width" as 20mm...Thanks!

Would you ever customize your Hamilton?
I have seen several posts here about members having some custom work done on their Hamilton watches, both vintage and new.Have you ever had custom work done? If so, what was done?If not, would you consider custom work in the future?

A Diamond Watch To Wear!
36 years ago on May 8 I reported to work with my company. Then it was known as Southern Bell. In the 80's a federal judge felt it was best to break up the old AT&T phone companies and Southern Bell Became, Bell South. Fast forward another decade and SBC bought out AT&T and assumed the name. Then, they bought out BellSouth. So I have seen many changes and many logo's on the vehicle that I drive. I have also seen great advances in technology and therefore products added to the consumer. I have also seen the demise of a family to just a, get it done attitude. Anyway, with my 35 years in with BellSouth I was given this watch.And, with one more year here I realize there is one diamond for every ten years worked. I have been thinking about that and have decided, there will not be a year 37. So, in the nest few weeks I am going to give it up and with that, I will be giving up quite a bit of watch buying as my income is going to go down!But, back to the watch. I have never been a fan o

History of my 243
Gents, I am trying to find out about my watch. It is an I series 2006 243. Purchased by the original owner at Tourneau in N.Y back in Dec 2006. At some point in its life it has been PVD coated and when I purchased some time ago it was unworn. I am trying to establish where and when the PVD was applied. I will get some pictures up over the weekend.Hope someone can help.Cheers.
