Year of Manufacture
Esteemed and fellow watch fans.Noticed a friend of mine wearing this vintage Longines. When I asked him about it he said it was his fathers but didnt know the year of manufacture He was guessing some time in the 50's??? With that said, if there's anyone out there who knows what would be the year of manufacture for this watch, please let me know. Also posted this on the General Forum...Sorry the pic focused on my pants instead of the watch!!!

Condition pretty much the same, both clean watches, 005 J vs a 177 M. The pam177 cost $1100 more. Which would you buy? I like both but can't decide; it will be my first panerai. Thanks in advance.
