Cartier W6920007 wrist watches news:
Girard-Perregaux has announced an evolution of their WW.TC line of traveler-centic watches, continuing the collection with two brand new models. Seeing as the past year has been host to a litany of new worldtimers, it's of little surprise that GP would look to inject their WW.TC formula into this new "Traveller" series. We have known for some time that Girard-Perregaux was going to refresh the WW.TC for 2013. The second new model in the new Traveller collection is the Moon Phases and Large Date, whose features are basically explained by that over-descriptive title - a basic watch it is pleasant enough but lacks pizazz. Whether you call it the WW.TC or the Traveller, this line of globetrotting GP's has been around for a while and found success by offering high end worldtimers that combined elements from both the sporty and elegant sides of Girard-Perregaux.The first of the two new models is a worldtimer that GP is calling the Traveller WW.TC. The WW.TC employs the Girard-Perregaux GP033
Can I have my post count transferred over too?
I'm trying to help a friend of mine get some info on this maker. The dial and movement of a 10 size hunter's case, double-hinged, lever set pocket watch is signed but I cannot find anything on the web or in my guide about this manufacturer? Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bob
Yesterday (I know, a day late and a dollar short), I read that Movado is selling the EBEL Calibre 137 to Ulysses Nardin. The stated rational is that Movado intends to focus EBEL and women's watches and does not plan on EBEL producing high end mechanical chronographs any longer. Is Movado trying to gut EBEL?1. Hasn't LVHM, the previous owner of EBEL, unsuccessfully tried to make EBEL a women's watch brand?2. Where does Movado intend to obtain movements for EBEL as SWATCH is alreadying discontinuing sale of mechanical movements and is soon to be discontinuing sale of quartz movements?3. Doesn't EBEL's watch making status stand primarily on the production of the Calibres 137 and 138?4. If Movado does not intend to gut (ie put out of business) EBEL, the only strategy I can see for Movado to exist as a watchmaker of any brands is for it to develop its own in house quartz movements.5. What are your thoughts?
I was shopping around for my son that¡¯s seven weeks out of being born and of course i told my wife let¡¯s swing by the Rolex store and once we got to the store i spotted the yellow gold oysterflex Daytona. She immediately gave me the death stare as I tried it on and my goodness this watch is a beauty!! Blew my expectations away. The weight was amazing and the oysterflex is so comfy. I was extremely close of pulling the trigger but my wife¡¯s stare was well more than enough to tell me NO lol. This piece will soon be in my collection just need to warm the wife up to the idea haha.
