Hi pals, as you know I have recently purchased a Omega Seamaster 2254.50, I have been wearing it for 3 days now and now i will tell you my opinions.By the way, I just finished reading John's Photo book and had prepared a light box, excellent book.First, I knew what i was going to receive, I had read tons of reviews and lot of pics so...My Aquaracer, all of you know how much I love it, wanted to see if the Seamaster was really that superior according to omega owners so I went to my local AD and tried on all the Seamasters available.First the Planet Ocean, I don't like the design, no a single aspect of the watch.I grabbed the Blue Bond, as you know, the skeleton hands, the markers, but mainly the bracelet, not for me.Then i went with the 2254.50, perfect, from the moment I held it I knew that was my choice.When I received my Seamaster I wasn't impresed at all, I knew what I was going to receive, but anyway, the package, the cards, the red box are a nice touch for this awesome watch.The w

How to polish vintage gold and gold filled watches...

Case brassing is when the gold plate is so worn-down that the case filling is exposed. The Future of Watches
New technology ALWAYS replaces old technology. Jet engines replaced piston engines. Auto transmissions replaced stick shifts. And cars replaced horses. It will be the same in watches. The new technology in watches allows light driven power systems to replace batteries, wind-ups and autos. And all at lower cost in many cases. And we now have watches where the time is adjusted by radio and/or satelite. The dominant watches of the future will be light driven and radio sdjusted. And everthing else will all be yesterday. Ap diver internal bezel question
Hello fellow trf's members looking at a few options as my next purchase (roo, ro and diver) just wondering how does the diver internal bezel works ? Does it have any locking mechanism ? Can you turn it while diving ? Do you unscrew it before you turn it ? Because I have a very old enicar Sherpa watch the have an internal bezel for gmt and I kinda disliked how it works could someone please elaborate for me ? Manythanks

Somewhat surprising Kern pointed out that Breitling success in USA, 4th biggest luxury swiss watch seller, is diametrically opposed to their success in China. USA, invented airplanes, has a nostalgia for flying, in China aviation is negative. USA loves big bold watches, China doesn't, etc. Interesting take and Kern mentions they have to cater to both markets even though they seem opposite.
