OK just had to have this advert, it looks like me 'ahora mismo'Its an Ingersol advert from 1913 (thats pretty old). Its offering the $1 watch (ONLY $1 AND GUARANTEED!!) , but I ask you all was $1 that cheap?What was $1 in 1913. Lets here it.

If It Doesn't Indicate Swiss Is It Not Swiss?
I've been going through a bunch of watches to refurbish them and typically when I have a Swiss made or Swiss parts watch it is stamped on the movement.I have a ladies Belair with Cal. 69-2 but other than "Seventeen 17 Jewels" there are no other markings.After searching I found other 69-2's that were described as Swiss but had no markings. Working watches are asking in the $50 range.How do I determine whether it's Swiss or not if there is no stamp?
