- I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a gift. Its sleek, lightweight and can be dressy or causual. Pushing the button on the side allows you to see the date, time or seconds. This duct is awsome and we both love it!

Alpina AL-525LB4V36 wrist watches news:
I like the weight and feel and size. I am looking at an entry level Pam. Maybe 114? I love the look, however it is time only, I kind of like other stuff like seconds hand.. I will be buying 2nd hand from a dealer I have done business with before and I totally trust. They have a 114 in the low3k range. Is that about right? He does not have the box or papers however. Watch is immaculate. Since it is entry level, and I plan to keep it for a long time, will it hold value in 3k range? I know everyone here hates to talk $, I am just wondering if entry level watches in premium brands hold their value over time. Especially since this is as basic a wind up watch you can get.. Also I am assuming it is NOT an in house movement. Am I correct. Thanks
Hi, I am new to this forum and a total noob to IWC. I have been looking for a nice black faced watch with a leather strap that I can wear with my business attire. I have my choices down to Baume & Mercier Classima Executive and the IWC. I prefer the looks of the IWC, which is of course also more expensive than the B&M. Anyway, I am torn between the Portofino and Pilots 371701 (see attached pix). As I know nothing about IWC, I would greatly appreciate if anyone can educate me on the merits of each watch and which one they would ultimately purchase and why. Thanks in advance.
I am curious to see if any of you experienced watch collectors have information on the Val-Swiss automatic movements. While I'm sure they aren't Top Of The Line, I would be interested because of the price point. Swiss Legend has started using this movement in their Neptune line, started selling last night at $169.00 with a watch winder included. I would love to get some automatic movements in my collection and this would be a good way to start, I'm hoping to work my way up to the 7750's of the world. Looking online I get comments from that other forum (you know, the one that every other word in the postings is a cuss word and any watch under $25,000.00 is a piece of ST). Any info would be appreciated.
Hello and welcome to my first post on WTF. I've been lurking around here for the past week and it looks like I've finally found a group of people who are just as (or even more) crazy about watches than I am I guess my obsession started when I saw (and then relentlessly begged my parents for) one of the first Timex Ironman Triathlons with Indiglo when I was six years old. So it should come as no surprise that for my graduation from univeristy (Bachelor of Science in Geology and Environmental Science), one of my grad presents should be a really nice watch It's a Victorinox Swiss Army Ambassador with an automatic movement. It's my first non-quartz watch and I can't stop staring at the sweeping seconds hand So here it is, watch #1 for my future collection. And I'm already planning for watch #2!Box shots:Bracelet and Clasp:Movement (AKA testing out the macro on my new Nikon):Wrist Shot (slightly hairy:eek:):The "Once in A Lifetime" Wrist Shot:For those of you wondering, here's what the S
Does anyone know if the SS bracelet with all the links removed is the same size as the diver short strap on the tightest hole or is it still bigger?
