Just received a brown Nighthawk and noticed something unusual. As the second hand moves across the face, it hits the marks beginning from the 15 minute mark then begins to miss the marks at about the 43 minute mark. At the worst, which is about 57 minutes, it hits right between the marks. Then the hand begins to get closer to the marks and is right on again at 15.Is this as good as it gets with Citizen? Am I expecting to much?

When is a Waltham not a Waltham?
Pocket watch collectors often feel that we're immune from outright fake watches as the modern wristwatch collector must deal with. For common American railroad watches and the like, this is largely true(save for reproduction dials, recases, and made-up rarities, which are a totally separate issue). For the early American collector, however, one must be constantly mindful of fakes. There were hundreds of Swiss makers who built watches very similar in appearance to Waltham 1857 model watches. Many of these are fairly poor reproductions, and are often marked with American-sounding names that can't be associated with any particular watch company. These are easy to spot with a little bit of practice, as there are a number of tell-tales. Occasionally, however, so-called Swiss Fakes turn up that can be quite convincing. Big problem
Well, sometimes problems just come along that you did not expect, that's just part of life of course. A couple of weeks ago I got this: Seems nice enough, black and with a nice suedey finish.So, I try it on. Immediately I feel really stupid. I can't wear this. I don't own one of those IWC cult time thingys. Take it off and put it up in the closet. Maybe I can stick Dennis with it, dam no, he already has oneOh, well. It least I can wear my Omega cap.
