Breitling ab011012/b967-1CD wrist watches news:
It's been a long, long two years since Xetum had their last limited-edition model. As with their last LE model, they've opted to use their Tyndall model as the base for this new one. ?Even if you're not intimately familiar with the brand, you've no doubt seen the Tyndall with its clean, lugless design. ?So, what's different for this new version?Right off the bat, you've got a much darker watch. ?While the regular Tyndall is in a brushed/polished case, the new LE features a deep PVD black. ?While they could have paired that with their existing black dial, Xetum upped the ante and instead went with carbon fiber.I have to say - if you've not played around with a watch that has a CF dial, it's really something you need to see to truly appreciate. ?While you certainly pick up the alternating weave pattern (that's become familiar to us with all the Fast 'n Furious imitators and their car hoods), it's more interesting what it does to the applied numerals an indices.Given how these dials have
John is in Iceland but we still manage to stay warm with watches. We discuss the innovating yet perhaps futile Urwerk EMC movement, and the easily lovable Seiko Prospex Tuna with the Spring Drive movement. Just got grandpop's WW II era rose gold Bulova back from service, and shot it with the ladies version from the same era. Windy doesn't wear this too often, she likes the white gold 1924 art deco watch better. I wear mine though on ooccasion, and if you take a look you can tell this was not babied. I didn't want the dings taken out of the hoods covering the lugs, this watch has a history of service and it's scars are it's character. Family heirlooms are truly priceless.ps - BOGO does apply here! I obviously inherited my watch, and a few years later I purchased the ladies version at an estate sale. I find it funny when I have to explain to someone why I bought an "old" watch instead of a new one for my girlfriend. Sometimes these same people understand antique furniture but not watches. I've gotten so tired of explaining it I've even just said they both were my grandparent's watches - a necessary fib I guess. Anyway, I'm off to the Phillies / Rockies game tonight so that means th
My Seamaster Professional 300m (2531.80) hadn't been getting much wrist time in the past year for whatever reason. I travel a lot, and always wear my Rolex GMT Master II (16710 with a Pepsi bezel) when on a business trip. I like to easily see my home time zone at a glance without thinking. At home, I generally wear my Seiko Marinemaster (SBDX001) as a daily wearer. It has a great wrist presence and wears nicely for its large size. I felt nostalgic for the Seamaster, and have been wearing it the past two weeks while on vacation. I had it last serviced by Omega three years ago, and it's keeping great COSC time. I set it to the atomic clock and have been checking it daily at the same time. It's running at +.01 sec / day. The 1120 movement is simply amazing. I love this watch and will never sell it.
