Breitling a71356LA/c811-3rt wrist watches news:
Well, I've been wanting to get a nice vintage watch for a while now. So far, two watches have really caught my eye. One is a Zodiac Seawolf (white dial) (Source)and the second is a HEUER AUTAVIA 1163 (Preferably "JO SIFFERT").(Pic taken from HEUER AUTAVIA 1163 VICEROY / SIFFERT / GULF)I know Tag Heuer has come out with a new Autavia, but I'd prefer the original Heuer over the newer one. While I don't have the cash for it at the moment and I'm currently saving up some cash for a potential Euro trip, sometime around July next year, I would love to be able to save up a bit more and buy one of the watch mentioned above.Any idea where can I expect to come across either a NOS or in a good condition? Also, what's the price that I can expect to pay, say 8-10 months down the line? I know its far off, but I have loads of things lined up and it'll take me sometime to save up for a nice watch.Appreciate all your help.-Dhruv
In fact, with eBay, you need more than a "bit".. Shortly after I snagged a Seiko World Time GMT desk clock from the 70s on the bay of badness the seller jovially contacted me to inform me that he'd just nicked the pics from the www for the auction but the clock I would be receiving was "even better" and that I should really look after it as it had belonged to his Grand Dad. Oh boy.. My heart sank and I sat back and waited for inevitable pile of junk to arrive on my doorstep. So as I opened the box today with baited breath I was astounded to find inside a virtually NOS example happily ticking away. Just now and again eBay throws me a piece of candy, just enough to keep me going back for another try.. Seiko World Time QQZ877B GMT Desk Clock ? thirtyfivemill
Let's see some of yours... With foreground, background and props in various shades of blue perhaps! Here's mine
Does anyone know the retail price of the nautilus cuff links 205.9057?
Have this question I always wanted to ask. I have a 5065 acquired in 1999. 2nd version with the sapphire back.Sometime in 2005, the lume for the hands fell off. The hands are still intact. I sent it back to PP service center. They replaced the lume but they are brighter than the rest of the watch, i.e. the numbers and number indicators. Is this normal? My friend said that's cause they use a different luminance. Also I've never polished this watch before. And it is quite scruff up. Should I bother polishing it? I like it the way it is but some people do ask me why don't i polish it. Not sure if that's an insult.
