- I purchased this watch for my son for Christmas. He is just currently in the Military and with the type of training he is doing in terms of physical and water this would be the perfect time piece for the endurance. He loves it!

Omega 25945000 wrist watches news:
Both in a general and specific to Omega watches sense, can anyone help me understand shock resistance?1. What sort of system(s) does Omega use, presently, and past?2. Since so many watches use base ETA mechanisms, how is it that Doxa, Omega, et cetera, seem to stand pat at one level, but some Ball watches are able to offer greater shock resistance?3. Is there a way to understand shock resistance in layman's terms? In other words, what sports or activities would portend excessive shock that would compromise the intended protection of these pieces?Links are also nice. Somewhere in the past, I know I've seen an Incabloc animation on the 'net, but don't recall that off the top of my head.Thanks.
5146R vs 5396r v 5205r (white dial) These are 3 I'm considering getting my father for father's day. He is a relatively hip man with more modern tastes. Currently he has a 5170G and that's it (a gift from my mother). I believe his wrist is 7.25 but that doesn't really matter. I feel the 5205R is the most dressy and kind of cool with the lugs and dial, really a special piece to look at. The day, date, month are easy to read (but the 24h indicator seems useless)The 5146R is classic looking and the sub dials are nice rather than have a digital display....the power reserve is nice for a man like him.The 5396R is pretty slick, I could see him liking the clean contemporary look. Just want some input, I'm going to take him to the AD and he will ultimately have the last say but I can sway him one way or the other as he's a very indecisive man (the 5170 was bought going in thinking he was going to get a 5960P...so yeah he can always change his mind). But a calendar is what he says he wants. Annu
Dear all, please let me introduce myself first. My name is Alex and I am a watch collector for more than 20 years with main focus on Rolex, IWC, Breitling, Omega and of course Panerai.Last year this time, I was the ¡°lucky¡± owner of Three Panerai watches. PAM212 (Flyback), PAM141 (Radiomir with JLC Movement) and PAM311 ¨C Luminor 1950 8 Days Chrono Monopulsante GMT in Titan with tobacco dial and a price tag of nearly 18.000 Euro! And today, I sit in front of my computer to write this story without having any Panerai on my wrist. PAM212 and PAM141 got sold by mid of last Year while the PAM311 is with Panerai/Richemont, since more than 12 months! So please, let me share with you my lovely Odyssey with Panerai/Richemont, which has started last year 31st Jan 2017.31st Jan 2017: I went to the Panerai Boutique to treat my beloved PAM311 with a nice service. The Boutique Manager told me ¡°No Problem¡± and it would take up to 7 weeks before the watch will come back in good, working condition. Well,

Two weeks ago I collected my first Rolex - a brand new no date Submariner, I¡¯ve bought it to wear not to be an ornament. My job is fixing gym equipment so there¡¯s a possibility of knocks, I train before work so it¡¯s no big deal to wear my Apple Watch during the day. Since I got it I¡¯ve been wearing at home after work (beacause it¡¯s new and cool) but it seams a bit daft to wear just around the house for the sake of it.So here¡¯s my question, should I,1/ continue to wear my watch in evenings and weekends to keep movement ticking over. It¡¯s a Submariner after all, built to last. 2/ put away watch on Monday morning and, (unless going out midweek) set the time on a Friday and wind - the pulling out of crown once a week won¡¯t wear seals or cause any long term damage.Or3/ buy a winder, leave watch in it so it¡¯s always good to go.Thanks all for any advice.
