Tissot T063.610.16.087.00 wrist watches news:
What do you think a gorgeous watch should cost that's meticulously crafted, and features a fine ETA automatic movement, a thick, domed sapphire crystal, state-of-the-art lume, a superb strap or bracelet, and many more amenities? $5,000? $4,000? $3,000.? $2,000.? Hold that thought. Now, what do you think when you see a watch on worn&wound that has all the above going for it but only costs about 500 bucks? Impossible? Mistake? Piece of junk? Drunk editor? Typo? Probably made in a leper colony in Outer Mongolia? All the above?Well, if you're a regular reader of this blog, you know damn well what $500 will get you: a damn incredible watch! But did you ever wonder how that's possible? Or if serious watch makers offering those deals are making any money? Let me assure you that it's extremely possible, and those (smart) companies are doing quite well, thank you very much.Let's examine this conundrum by first looking at distribution. Watch companies that offer the most extreme value are sel
Eight days into the month and silence reigns. Can't have that I'm afraid; mind you, WWIIBuff has shown us his handsome black PVD/red Navy GMT already.I think I am a few behind so here we go....From Wikipedia: In 1962, Hamilton entered into a joint venture (60% owned by Hamilton) with the Japanese watchmaking firm Ricoh to produce electric watches meant primarily for the Japanese market. The electronic components were produced at Hamilton's Lancaster factory while production of the mechanical works and final assembly was undertaken in Japan. Although production levels of Hamilton-Ricoh watches was high (over 1000 per month), demand was low and consequently, the Hamilton-Ricoh partnership was unable to compete with the substantial market presence of Seiko. The partnership was dissolved in 1965, with the remaining Hamilton-Ricoh electronic movements (marked "Ricoh 555E") re-cased as "Vantage" and sold in the U.S.Well I knew about these but had not noticed one for sale before. I wanted to share a brushing tip, that I found more easier, and let's say more "precise" than using the Scotch Brite green side...I use a 3M Wet and Dry sandpaper, number 1000, it's very simple to do...This is the way I do it, but you can try your own way:1. I cut a small piece of the sandpaper, just about half an inch long and a quarter inch wide, very small...2. I place it in my thumb tip and gently start to move in the direction I want the texture in the metal, is better to do it, very gently, and do it as many times as needed, until you have a very uniform textureOf course that you have to do it very very gently, as you are sanding the metal, and don't want to thin it too muchalso is a good idea to use various pieces of the sand paper, as this is so fine, that in a couple of passes, it's flat, and a flat sand paper doesn't give the best results...For the results in the pictures below (an area of around half an inch wide and three quarter inches long) I used three pieces of sand pap
Hi Guys,This December I have received permission from my wife to add 1 watch (one watch only) to my collection. The budget is around USD 8000...So I planned to purchase a pre owned TT Submariner (blue dial)...But suddenly I found out that a pre owned watch store here selling a New Old Stock of Breitling Chronomat Evolution in 18KYG & Steel with British Racing Green Dial as per the picture below. The price is around USD 4750...That watch really amazed me...what a beauty...So I really need your opinion guys...Should stick with my old plan to get a pre owned TT Submariner (blue dial) or should I take the New Old Stock Breitly Chronomat Evolution.....Please tell me about this watch...is this a good watch? What about the price?Thank you very much for your opinions...Regards,
