Well, in just 5 months of existence, we have tallied 750 threads, accumulating more that 7,000 posts. Way to go you blabbermouths. Just for that, I think we should all go out and buy ourselves a new Hammie. (Actually, I got the deal of the century on an auction last night at midnight and I'll post pix when it arrives).

Interesting outing
I'm not sure which forum to post this in given the range of brands involved, but thought I'd try the AP forum, as this is where I spend most of my time. Last night I used the excuse of a trip to my tailor to get out of the office to do a quick circuit of some of the grey dealers and ADs in Tsim Sha Tsui and encountered quite a nice selection of watches. The Rolex ADs had nothing of interest, but I did come across the Sea-dweller 43 - for an absurd premium over MSRP (in line with what these are going for here, though) but it was good to try it on. And I must say that I found it a bit disappointing - it seemed much smaller than I'd been expecting (not helped by putting it on after taking off my AP 44!). I liked it...didn't love it - but removing any sense of urgency to acquire this is good for my bank balance. Need trf help - unique situation
Team,I am first to admit I am no guru in Omega's, I did have a Professional Chrono Seamaster for a while but it was too big on my wrist, I obtained it as part of a trade.In any case my help is on a sadly different matter. One of the staff of my Sales agent sadly took his own life, none of us including his family saw it coming. He is doing all he can to help the wife and the three boys all under the age of 10. One of the things he has asked me to help with is to find a watch he can give the wife to give to each of the boys on their 18th birthday to remember their father with. He has indicated a budget of around $5K per watch, and he has asked me to pick a watch that wont go out of fashion over the next 10-15 years before the boys receive their gifts (not sure if they will need an oil inspection over that time by the way). Saw this model in the AD store and got curious.Can you share your view on 5960/1a (SS) black dial's future resale value?Understand that previous 5960 series both P and white SS did not hold their values as there is a steep discount in grey market for these models.Would the black SS version be different?

Problems of having an enabler for a partner
Went shopping yesterday and browsed through a watch shop and my partner gave the nod for another watch. So my new arrival last night and one that arrived through the post this morning. A late afternoon shopping trip ended with this, I love the dial very unusual.
