Omega Omega 10057 wrist watches news:
There was a time when as far as I recall, most folk bought a plain simple watch with a dial, hands and hour markers. You know, the classical, dress-style watch. Then came the diver and more consumer uptake in chronographs, the wrist computer, all of which I think have taken " market share " as it were from the classical design. What if, instead of the divers' bezel, say the chronograph or GMT become the thing on a watch to have? Based on the belief that more divers' watches are sold than any other, I'm asking if this is a trend created by marketing and thus mental conditioning. I'm not saying we're playing ' follow the leader ' merely asking why it is we seem to like certain styles. What do you think pals? Y'all have a good week ahead nowZIN
Why are ladies watches so cheap compared to the gents watches ?.Some of the detail in the smaller movements is amazing. This evening I purchased a lovely little 10k gold filled 1943 Elgin with a 547 movement, can't wait for it to arrive. I am sure the wife will love it. It was nice to research the Elgin online database and get some info before the purchase. I have already made 2 failed attempts to get an american watch and I hope I got it right this time, even if it is for the wife.
Hey everyone,This is a re-post of the refinishing thread posted in the General Forum. On Rusty's recommendation, thought I'd add it to our forum since it's on one of our favorite watches, the Crosswind Special Limited (Ok, at least one of my favorites) ;D--------------------------------Hey everyone,Had my watch tools out today changing a battery on the in-laws watch, so decided to try my hand at a refinish.. The Breitling Crosswind Special LE I picked up last month is in great shape, but has some ¡°everyday wear¡± on it.. The case, bracelet & bezel have scratches, so thought I¡¯d try to remove them & make it as new-looking as possible¡.So first, a disclaimer. I didn¡¯t mean to start this as a posted lesson / tutorial, but to polish my watch. As such, I didn¡¯t get all the before shot I probably should have. And second, I only have so much room on the desk, so I didn¡¯t have room for the extra lights, so some of the shots may be darker than I¡¯d like.. Sorry¡OK, on to the refini
Has anyone heard of this brand??? I bought my first one and now I'm considering a second oneI got the Mark VIII-E but before I pull the trigger on my second one, I was wondering if anyone else is familiar with the brand? The cool racing-insipid designs plus the litime warranty got me to pull the trigger on my firt oneNow I'd just like to see who else out there has one??
Tonight at the omega boutique. This was really a great time. And I got to see some really nice watches. Personally, I'm in love with the annual calendar globe master. The moon phase is big, but pretty damned awesome. A great event.
