Invicta 17694 wrist watches news:
Im new around here and im going around looking at vintage watches for my dad, i have a deal for a hamilton from a member here and i just took a chance on this benrus on ebay, thoughts? its a little scary when you are new around here but to me what i paid is worth the gamble, maybe im wrong....Benrus Art Deco Watch
This is one of the things I like about mechanical watches, they have character. I have to say upfront that I am not too hung up about accuracy, if my watches are within a 10-15 seconds a day I am ok. So now I can say my speedmaster pro is an attention seeker. I wind it up, strap it to my wrist and face the day. Check its accuracy later and hell, its within a second a day. I kept it on for another day and it was still within a second. Then I saw my seadweller staring longingly at me so I took the omega off and wore the seadweller. Checked the omega the next day (I did wind it again) and it had lost 5 seconds! It wants to be worn or it sulks lol. Just kidding, I suspect wearing a mechanical watch vs. winding and leaving it on the table will result in different accuracy.
Switzerland just called the AD and said that my Seamaster Professional, that I recently bought, could not be serviced up to Omega specs. They offered a discount on a new one, only $3300! It is being sent back. I have never heard of anything like this, as the guy I bought it from said it kept perfect time for the two years he had it. He never had it serviced. This is the watch I posted earlier with ground off serial numbers.
Today, I decided to try out my SMP 2531.80 on a blue alligator strap with an Omega deployment. Got the bracelet off eventually and put the alligator strap on, wore the watch for 10minutes and then put it back in its box and put my SMPC 2594.52.00 back on. Brian
I've seen quite a few threads on the topic of the Black Bay Dark and thoughts about how the PVD will hold up but none of them seem to have been updated by BB Dark owners. My son wants one and I'm curious if anyone who owns the watch and wears it regularly has an opinion on the ruggedness of the coating. Thanks.Nw
