- Great watch and great price. The first one I purchased from online shop, years ago (20) and the case finally gave out. Now I have two of these watches. Should last at least another 20 - 30 years.

Piaget is the king of ultra-thin watches, holding more than a dozen records in various categories. This expertise goes all the way back to 1957 with the invention of the Calibre 9P, the first Piaget ultra-thin movement and what today is a real classic. To celebrate the mark's 140th anniversary, the Piaget has gone for the biggest record of all and released the Altiplano 900P, the world's thinnest mechanical watch. It has taken some serious technological breakthroughs to get to a staggering 3.65mm thin and the result is a surprisingly wearable watch. Here we have an exclusive first look at this amazing watch, complete with live photos and pricing. While Piaget holds many of the ultra-thin records, the overall thinnest mechanical watch title was previously held by Jaeger-LeCoultre for the Master Ultra-Thin Jubilee, which comes in at 4.05mm. But now, thinner by a full .4mm, the Altiplano 900P has climbed on top. Normally here we'd start talking about the thin movement and how i

Hi again all,In my first post here on WTF, I told a bit about my history of watches, and how I come to acquire my first watch of what I consider above and beyond the more "ordinary" ones.Well, I went and picked it up yesterday, and wanted to take a couple quick shots to share it with everyone.I hope you enjoy the pics.B
I've been eyeing all of the great discussion and fantastic watches on this AP forum, and I'm ready to take the plunge. Thinking about a Rose Gold version, and the RO Chronograph 41 mm, with the all black dial, has caught my attention. Anyone on the forum have this model? Was originally thinking of going with a white dial, but when I saw the black dial in the AP boutique, it looked very sharp. Couple of concerns though. Thinking that the all black dial maybe does not fully showcase the great detail on the face. Also, will the gold bezel easily scratch. I plan on wearing this watch as much as possible, so obviously want to make the right choice. Any of your thoughts on this model or any other Rose Gold that you would recommend, would be much appreciated.
