I hope suede is "in"
because I actually don't mind the strap that came on the 2998. I just got it, and I promise I will stop asking about and talking about 2998 Speedmasters now. (for at least a few months) It is just as stated, and I'm very pleased with it. Here are a couple of photos, but you'll note no the strap remains for now. I'll probably change it to black leather. The real choice will be made once my wife gets home. You guys know what I mean.Update: I changed to a less casual black leather strap. I'm a black strap kinda guy. Ok, I'm just a black strap kinda guy....

I¡¯ve had some disturbing thoughts. Sixty Minutes had an article this Sunday about the ¡°Data Miners¡± present and observing us as we navigate the internet and visit our favorite sites. The sheer number of observers stunned me. On PBS News Hour tonight this discussion was again visited. So¡How prudent is it to display our prized collections here on WTF? I would draw your attention to a post by Premier Currency on 12/12/2013 titled, State of the collection ¨C December 2013, an enviable collection indeed! There are also Donuts wonderful posts. I¡¯ve recently noticed that pop up adds in the margin of news sites I visit have begun offering me watch sales sites. Are we safe? How safe? Am I willing to display my next acquisition? Just thinking¡.what do you think?

Vintage Omega ploprof, in water
OK, so some of you might remember my small restoration of my Ploprof 600?I changed the seals, dial and hands myself, as well as gave it a thorough clean inside, had the date disc loose as it was sticking a bit, got that sorted.Now in Thailand, this beauty is once again in it's proper element.And final one of wifey. She didn't wear her SMP, only her dive computer.
